The Saint Lucian Carnival was officially launched on Wednesday evening with the announcement of a return to the traditional format of the festival for the first time since the COVID 19 pandemic forced organizers to stage a diluted version of the event. This will include the return of community carnivals. The launch also saw the announcement of two additional contestants in this year’s carnival queen pageant.
