Minister Defends Gov. Stance On School Security

Education Minister Shawn Edward says school security remains a priority for his Ministry and for the Government. The assurance comes mere days after the Saint Lucia Teachers Union president claimed that security was not being given enough attention by the ministry. In an address broadcast on Sunday evening, the Minister hinted at radical approaches to deal with the issue of school security but he was quick to mention that parents and students also have an important part to play.
