Grenada has received six automated passport control kiosks as part of the OECS Border Management Enhancement Programme. The new technology, which processes passengers in just 30 seconds, is expected to reduce wait times and improve efficiency.
Saint Lucia is set to receive similar machines soon, marking a major step in modernizing regional border security.
Police are on the hunt for the killer of 70 year old Restaurant Owner Renato Venturi of Belmar Lane, Morne Fortune. The killing occurred early Saturday night when the victim was attacked at his home. His wife Cheryl Venturi, 68, was also brutally beaten and is currently in hospital. Neighbors are still in disbelief as to why someone would commit such an act against a couple they describe as very kind and hospitable. The latest homicide brings the tally for the year to 38.
