Public sector professionals in Saint Lucia are sharpening their expertise to design and deliver more effective climate-related projects, as the island intensifies its push for sustainable development financing.
At the centre of this effort is the Sustainable Finance Training Programme, led by the Government of Saint Lucia and the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI). The initiative aims to equip participants with the practical skills needed to develop strong project proposals and improve their chances of securing funding for national development priorities.
Running from April 16th to June 11th, the eight-week workshop brings together personnel from across the public service, government agencies, and statutory boards. Organisers say the goal is simple but critical—to strengthen capacity so that climate-resilient projects can move from concept to funding more efficiently.
