Saint Lucia and the region are in danger of the introduction of vaccine preventable diseases which were once eliminated. This is being highlighted as the observance Vaccination Week in the Americas (VWA) was launched on Monday. Activities for the week will be held under the slogan, ‘Get up-to-date; Each Vaccine counts” and aim to raise awareness on the importance of immunization. The 21st annual VWA also coincides with the 12th observance of World Immunization Week which runs from the 22 to the 29 of April.
