More than three decades after it first captured the imagination of Saint Lucians, the iconic calypso anthem “Rambo Diplomacy” is getting a new lease on life. Originally performed by Black I & Yatte and written by Jah T, the song became one of Saint Lucia’s first music videos and earned national acclaim for its powerful message. Now, producer Colin Weekes has reimagined the cultural classic, hoping to introduce its timeless message to a new generation while preserving an important piece of the island’s artistic heritage.
