Minister Condemns Mockery Of Persons With Disabilities

Minister for Persons with Disabilities, Jeremiah Norbert, has strongly condemned the mockery of individuals with disabilities following remarks by Housing Minister Richard Frederick. Frederick, in an ongoing war of words with UWP Deputy Leader Dominic Fedee, referred to him as someone “fighting autism and dwarfism.” Norbert insists there is no place for such ridicule and reaffirmed his ministry’s commitment to protecting the dignity of persons with disabilities.

Twelve new mothers who gave birth during the Christmas and New Year holidays received unexpected visitors bearing gifts at their doorsteps. Peter & Company Distribution (PCD) turned their annual Parenthood Loyalty Programme into a personal home delivery service, bringing premium care packages to ten Christmas Day and two New Year’s Day mothers across Saint Lucia.
