Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre has dismissed media reports claiming that the International Air Transport Association (IATA) expressed concerns about the disruptions to airline operations at the Hewanorra International Airport, following industrial action by workers on Saturday. The statement, which was allegedly attributed to the IATA’s Regional Vice President for the Americas, has been described as false by the Prime Minister. Normal operations have resumed at the airport.
