Twenty-six Peace Corps trainees have officially begun two years of service across the Eastern Caribbean, following their swearing-in ceremony in Saint Lucia on Friday. The new volunteers will be working in primary schools across Saint Lucia, Dominica, Grenada and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, with a focus on strengthening literacy development among young learners. Ten of the volunteers will be based in Saint Lucia, as the Peace Corps continues its work to support education across the region.
